Coming Spring 2026

“Five washed-up heroes, once celebrated as the Invincible Action Teens, reunite for one last shot at redemption, piloting their giant robot to save the world from a new kaiju (giant monster)... if only they can survive being in the same room together.

Think A24 meets Power Rangers. Gargantuan is a character-driven, emotionally impactful, robots-versus-monsters throwback from Mirror Box Films, the team behind the award-winning indie films This World Alone and Guacamole Yesterdays.

A love letter to the gang-of-five, color-coded hero shows we grew up on like Gatchaman, Voltron, and Power Rangers, featuring hand-built practical FX, monster suits, miniatures, puppets, and in-camera tricks inspired by ILM, Tokusatsu, and Super Sentai.”

“With Hollywood chasing AI, CGI, IP, and “content” over creativity, Gargantuan is built by hand by real humans who long for the magic, messiness, and meaning of movies.

At Mirror Box Films, we’ve redefined what indie filmmaking can be by putting community first. We believe movies are about energy, collaboration, and connection. That exchange between the people making the thing and the people watching it. That moment in a dark theater when everyone laughs, gasps, cheers, or cries together.”
